Grounded in the ancient Christian tradition, StoryLine Kids joins best practices in child development and education with principles and strategies gleaned from the fields of children’s spirituality and child theology.
Story.
We recognize the power that stories and storytellers hold in our lives. We want to help all children to know, through the biblical narrative, how their story is connected to God, other people and all creation. We believe this is a story worth telling over and over.
Imagination.
The human imagination is a gift from God. Nowhere is this more evident than in the life of a child. We trust that the Holy Spirit will help children to imagine their world differently and guide them in taking actions consistent with that imagination.
Belonging.
God has given all of us a place and a role in the community of creation. We want to help churches to create spaces for kids that will clearly communicate this reality and, over time, deepen their sense of belonging in the world.
